Sad Summer Festival started in 2017 as a one-day event in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The festival was created by Sad Summer members Jack Barakat and Rian Dawson as a way to bring together their favorite pop punk and emo bands for an unforgettable day of music. The first Sad Summer lineup included Mayday Parade, State Champs, The Maine, MOOSE BLOOD, and more.
