History of Summer Camp Music Festival
Every year over Decoration Day Weekend in Chillicothe, Illinois, JAY GOLDBERG EVENTS & ENTERTAINMENT organizes the multi-day Summer Camp Music Festival at Three Sisters Park. Around 8,000 to 10,000 of the 20,000 attendees who normally attend the event arrive before the gates even open. It was included among the top 40 music events in Rolling Stone in 2014.
In 2001, the festival was first arranged and around 1000 people enjoyed the day with over Fifteen bands. It was a two days event and two stages were performed. Since then, Summer Camp has altered the area every year, with more fans, more enjoyment, and more music. A variety of performances will now take place at this event over three days. It will be a four days event if you attend the pre-party on Thursday. Every Memorial Day Weekend, summer camp is the biggest event in the Midwest! Despite the expansion, Summer Camp continues to be the “home away from home” for devoted SCampers, welcoming new participants each year to join our enormous, music-loving family.
